Hope Haven Gospel Mission is a faith based, Christian Ministry whose mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while providing shelter, meals and hope, and offering assistance in the development of moral character by mentoring willing clients to re-enter the world as responsible citizens for Christ.
Homeless individuals and families (Men, Women & Children) are fed and housed for a limited period of time to allow them to get settled in the area. The single men may choose to stay under our rehabilitation program. Regular assessments are made as to their progress, and to determine if the individual has complied consistently; demonstrating a genuine need to remain in the program.
This process weeds out the professional homeless and welfare seekers. It is for those who desire to restructure their lives. We require that they become accountable for their actions and performance through the various duties assigned at the Mission.
The Mission Structure
Hope Haven Gospel Mission is a Christian non-profit Ministry. Fundamental in make-up; but non-denominational to those we serve. It is governed by a Board of Directors who are: faithful members of area Local Churches.
Hope Haven Gospel Mission is a Christian non-profit Ministry incorporated under the laws of the State of Maine to provide religious, charitable and educational services within the meaning of a 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States.
Our main source of support is through contributions, while striving to help others to help themselves with a hand up and not a hand out.
